Pastured Pork: Pork that has never been fed any soy or conventional feed. We fatten our pigs on pasture, vegetable scraps and milk. Reserve a half or whole pig with a $100 down payment. Pork is ready in the fall. Whole pigs are usually around 250 lbs at $3.50/# hang weight. Additional charges apply for organic processing and smoking of sausage, bacon and ham. Shares are very limited as we only raise four pigs each year.
$100 down deposit ensures your share in the pig.
A free copy of the Grassfed Gourmet by Shannon Hayes is included with each pork order. This book includes recipes for how to cook pasture-raised meats.

This year we are working with some friends and neighbors of ours who raise grass-fed, pastured Highlander beef cows to be albe to offer you high-quality beef as well at an affordable price. When you sign up to receive a half or whole animal you are paying $3.50/pound on the hanging weight of the animal. This is usually much cheaper than buying cuts of meat at your local grocery store or co-op of similar quality. If you would like a smaller quantity than a half or whole animal, consider finding a friend to split up your half cow with you. Animals are ready in the fall. Send in your non-refundable $100 down deposite that ensures your share in the animal that lets the farmer know they have a market for their meat. The $100 that you pay now will be deducted from your total balance in the fall. In the fall, closer to harvest time, we'll contact you so you can let us know what you would like your half or whole made into (ie. steaks, roasts, burger etc) and quantity.
Buying meat this way is usually much more affordalbe than buying meat by the cuts at the grocery store. You'll just need to invest in a deep freezer to store your year's supply of very high-quality beef for your family.
