(approximately a 2 hour drive)
Go north on Hwy 61 until you drive into the small town of Viroqua.
Go north out of Viroqua on Hwy 61 another mile or so.
Take a Right onto County Rd. Y. Follow Y until you hit a very, very small village called Avalanche. There is a sign, but if you blink, you will miss it. There is also a 20 mph turn just before Avalanche.
Immediately after this 20mph turn you will take a Left onto Cty Rd. S. This is marked, but not very well and you usually don't see the sign until you turn onto the road. Follow S for almost one mile.
Take a Right onto Smart Hollow Rd, where the bridge is. Follow Smart Hollow Rd. to the top of the ridge.
When you get to the top of the hill take a Left onto W. Salem Ridge Rd. Again, it is marked, but only with an old wooden sign that is falling down.
Go on W. Salem Ridge less than half a mile and you'll see the fields to your left and the farm buildings to your right. You can park down in the BarnYard, pull in at Fire Number S2950 W. Salem Ridge Rd.
