Ingredients
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1-1/2 pounds green beans, trimmed
2 tablespoon unsalted butter, room temperature
1 small red bell pepper, cut into julienne strips
1 small red onion, sliced thin
1/2 cup cashews, toasted
Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper
Directions
1. Using a small bowl, combine teriyaki sauce and honey
2. Using a large bowl, prepare an ice bath, set aside
3. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add beans and cook until beans are bright green, about 4 minutes
4. Drain beans in a colander and transfer to ice bath
5. Drain again and set aside
6. Using a large sauté pan over medium high heat, add the butter
7. Add the bell pepper and onion and sauté until tender, about 4 minutes
8. Add the beans, cashews and teriyaki-honey mixture and toss gently
9. Season with salt and pepper
